Week 9 Rankings: WRs (Business As Usual)

I'm expecting a very normal, unsurprising week from a fantasy receiver standpoint which, if it holds true, will feel phenomenal. I'm a very big fan of consistency, as all fantasy owners should be, but my love for knowing what I can expect stems in all aspects of my life (which does contain more than just fantasy football, believe it or not). I'm a man of habit.

Every WR should finish just about where you'd expect, except Greg Jennings, of course, who has no expectations left at all. On a bye this week: Rams, Patriots, 49ers and Jets. Also not included on this list due to injury: Jennings, Pierre Garcon, Harry Douglas, Doug Baldwin. Everyone else, though, right here:
RankReceiverOppComments
Calvin Johnson@JACMADDEN CURSE!! ZOMG! Please, children. Move along.
Brandon Marshall@TENHe gets a million targets and a million catches. Don't overthink.
Demaryius Thomas@CINBengals don't really shut anyone down and Peyton's getting it going.
AJ GreenDENChamp Bailey, Shmamp Bailey. He'll be fine.
Reggie WayneMIAThey likely won't be able to run and he'll have Sean Smith on him.
Steve Smith@WSHFinally put up numbers week and now gets a Redskins defense that gives up the second-most points to WRs.
Percy Harvin@SEANever thought he'd be this low in rankings but Seattle's defense has figured out ways to contain an offense's main guy.
Vincent Jackson@OAKRaiders middle-of-the-pack against WRs and Freeman loves him.
Larry Fitzgerald@GBI can't rank him outside of the top-10. I won't do it. Too much talent and I have too much respect for him.
Roddy WhiteDALSince they don't give up much down the field or over the top, possession WRs (like Marshall, White) should come through.
Marques ColstonPHIHard to sit if he's healthy and Asomugha isn't shutting anyone down.
Victor CruzPITLeads the league in targets and that should be enough against a tough D.
Denarius MooreTBTampa gives up the third-most points to WRs and Moore's the go-to guy.
Julio JonesDALCowboys don't give up deep but that being said only needs one play to get it done for fantasy owners
Mike Wallace@NYGPerfect matchup for a guy who runs one, down-the-field route every play.
Eric Decker@CINFive TDs in his last four games. Last game with no TD? Had 138 yards.
Jeremy Maclin@NOLeads team in targets, catches and yards when healthy. It'll be a shootout.
Dez Bryant@ATLContinues to be a great play despite the outcome of games.
Torrey Smith@CLEHaden'll be on him but did put up 97 and a TD on them earlier this year.
DeSean Jackson@NOThis is going to be a shootout so expect him to contribute.
Andre JohnsonBUFThey're just going to run all over this team but still leads the team in targets.
Miles Austin@ATLDez might actually draw coverage away in this game.
Jordy NelsonARIStill ailing but after seeing what Crabtree did to Patrick Peterson...
Anquan Boldin@CLEBest WR that won't have Joe Haden covering him. Great play.
Antonio Brown@NYGHe's in for a big game since Wallace runs just one route and the RB situation is in shambles.
Randall CobbARIHis versatility is so vital in his fantasy production. He'll go off this week.
Hakeem NicksPITHe just hasn't looked the same. Strange since he's finally practicing in full now.
James JonesARIHis production may have slowed but it hasn't fallen off. Plus the Cardinals' secondary CBs are terrible.
Dwayne Bowe@SDCassel's back and that mean Bowe will get his targets back.
Mike Williams@OAKHe's been so valuable but there's the every-week chance that VJax just takes over.
Brian Hartline@INDNo Vontae Davis means no real defender for the Colts.
Andre Roberts@GBPackers aren't a shutdown D and Skelton targets him and Fitzgerald almost equally.
Titus Young@JACHe's been playing more and more effectively
Malcom FloydKCHard to see him getting a huge pull with Flowers on him but still far from a shutdown corner.
Donnie AveryMIAIf Wayne gets the coverage he deserves, Avery could see a lot of balls come his way.
Stevie Johnson@HOUHe'll have Joseph on him and that means he'll likely be the only Bill not getting numbers.
Cecil ShortsDET"He's the only guy on the team even worth throwing the ball to." -Blaine Gabbert (that's a joke)
Josh GordonBALThe Ravens defense is falling apart and Weeden's going to have to throw somewhere.
Santana MossCARHe's coming off a season-high 9 targets and Garcon's no healthier.
Lance MoorePHIAgain (for the millionth time) this is going to be a shootout.
Davone Bess@INDHe could have a big game if it stays close.
Brandon LaFell@WSHRedskins are the worst at defending WRs.
Kenny BrittCHIIf the Titans want any chance at winning, Britt will have to be at the helm of contribution.
Domenik HixonPITIf Nicks keeps struggling there's always a chance for him.
Darrius Heyward-BeyTBTampa's been terrible and now, as a gift almost, Talib's gone!
Nate WashingtonCHIThe veteran's been solid but the "go-to" WR spot for the Titans have been on a swivel.
Sidney RiceMINHe's strung a few solid outings together and Wilson looks his way quite a bit.
Dexter McCluster@SDHe's the do-it-all guy and should get looks if they want to win.
Kendall WrightCHITitans WR carousel is such a pain and now they deal with the Bears.
Greg LittleBALPut up 77 yards against them in Week 4 and no Webb so playable.
