Week 9 Rankings: QBs (Midway Point)

We're now at the halfway point of the season and only a few pre-season predictions of mine have any life left. I had Matt Ryan for MVP, Daryl Washington for Defensive Player of the Year, and had the Saints pegged as a four-win team. Also, my Patriots-Packers Super Bowl still has a chance.

I also, however, had the Chiefs winning the AFC West, Patrick Peterson to return 6 TDs and also had the Cowboys win the NFC East. So, clearly, it's been a so-so year for me.

Rams, Pats, Jets and Niners all have bye weeks this week. Also out: Jake Locker, Brady Quinn (booooo). Week 9, everyone.

RankQuarterbackOpp.Comments
Robert Griffin IIICARHe's very tough to stop or contain and going up against the guy everyone compares him to? Done deal.
Aaron RodgersARIAfter seeing what Alex Smith was allowed to do against them, I'm sad to say that I'm losing faith in this D.
Drew BreesPHIWill rarely ever drop out of the top 5, regardless of matchup. He's too good and their defense is too bad.
Peyton Manning@CINCincy's highly-regarded defense (pre-season) has done nothing near
Cam Newton@WSHThe Redskins are terrible (3rd against fantasy QBs) and Newton is the offense. This is the week, people.
Michael Vick@NOMaybe I'm more of a believer in him that the Eagles are, but maybe the hot seat fires up against the worst QB defense.
Ben Roethlisberger@NYGHe's been solid all season and with the backfield still up in the air, he'll continue to be solid.
Matt RyanDALAfter last week, it's tough to imagine sitting him against any matchup.
Matthew Stafford@JACI know Rodgers didn't do much last week against them, but expect Staffy to tear this defense up.
Josh Freeman@OAKHe's been on a tear for the past few weeks and Oakland doesn't stop anyone.
Eli ManningPITIncredibly reliable. Tough match but you can count on him to get it done.
Philip RiversKCRivers has got to start getting it done after embarrassing losses to Denver and Cleveland. KC not very good.
Andrew LuckMIAFleener may be out and Donald Brown is back but they'll need to let Luck loose to win.
Tony Romo@ATLHe tends to play his best once everyone's completely out on him.
Jay Cutler@TENBig game in store despite not performing against poor teams in  the past.
Matt SchaubBUFHe'd be higher but the Bills are the best team to run against and considering this is a running team...
Carson PalmerTBHe's been impressive and McFadden hasn't been. Pretty good combo for Palmer owners.
Russell WilsonMINThis may be the first time I have Wilson ranked higher than last, let alone in the top-20. Big day ahead for him.
Joe Flacco@CLEHe's been especially terrible on the road this year and they did just shut down Rivers.
Andy DaltonDENHe gets sacked a lot and Champ Bailey will be covering AJ Green. BUT they'll have to throw a ton.
Ryan Tannehill@INDIf Matt Moore starts, he always slots right here. Colts have been awful against QBs.
Brandon WeedenBALThis Ravens defense has been decimated but they're still very good, though Weeden has played well.
Matt Cassel@SDSan Diego's run defense is excellent so if the Chiefs want any sort of success, it'll be through Cassel.
Christian Ponder@SEAHe's stunk lately and it's looking to get any better against a top-10 D.
John Skelton@GBI do honestly believe that Skelton and Kolb are good QBs. Like top-20 QBs. But that O-line. My goodness.
Matt HasselbeckCHIThis Bears D is just one gigantic collective monster. Steer clear.
Ryan Fitzpatrick@HOUSee above. Replace with a worse QB with terrible decision-making.
Blaine GabbertDETThis pass rush may eat him up but he's starting to show spurts of competency in his past few start.
