Waiver View: Week 10

High Ankle Sprains! HIGH ANKLE SPRAINS! Not only has Darren McFadden struck again, but he struck so hard he took out his own handcuff! Both DMC and Mike Goodson left Sunday's game with high ankle sprains. I've been saying it all year, it was only a matter of time. I've been out on McFadden since last year when he wined me, dined me, made me feel things I'd never felt before, had his way with me for a solid 7 weeks and then up and left me for dead. I've been out on him ever since.

OUT I tell you.

Arizona, Cleveland, Green Bay and Washington all on bye. Also hurting: Percy HarvinDarren SprolesBeanie Wells, Cardinals fans, DeMarco MurrayJake LockerJordy Nelson, Cardinals quarterbacks, Rashard MendenhallJonathan Dwyer, and Eli owners. We'll just have to monitor all of those situations.

Ryan Tannehill, QB - Miami Dolphins - I am, as most are, incredibly impressed with the guy. With Reggie Bush getting so much attention from opposing defenses,  Tanny (that's what I call him, we're cool like that) has done a great job of spreading it around to guys like Brian Hartline, Davone Bess and Anthony Fasano. If you own an RGIII or an Aaron Rodgers (or especially if you own a Kolb, Skelton or Weeden) on bye, Tanny's got a really tasty matchup going up against the ever-terrible Titans. And he gets them at home. And I think after losing to the Colts he may have that "I-may-not-be-Luck-but-I'm-still-damn-good" sort of chip on his shoulder. Well, hopefully. Also, this may actually turn into a pretty high-scoring game, despite the Fins' above-average defense.

Matt Hasselbeck, QB - Tennessee Titans - Sean Smith is the Dolphins' best defensive back. That's the reason Hasselbeck is a viable fantasy option this coming week, and it's also the reason Andrew Luck set the rookie single-game passing yards record this past Sunday. With both defenses in this game struggling, the only bright spot on either side has been Miami's run D. This probably means Hasselbeck's going to be throwing a bunch and he's actually been pretty good this year (I'm not counting this last game against the Bears because, come on, what were we really expecting?) so I'll trust him to play well against the Fins.

Chris Ivory, RB - New Orleans Saints - Assuming Sproles is out at least another week, Ivory can be a great pickup in deeper leagues. He got 10 carries on Monday against the Eagles and pulled 40+ yards and a score. Hey, it could be worse.
Ownership: 0.4% ESPN, 4% Yahoo!, 0.3% NFL

Isaac Redman, RB - Pittsburgh Steelers - With no real idea on when Mendy and Dwyer could be returning, Redman's bolstered the team's faith in him after a huge game Sunday against the Giants. He's in a fluid backfield, but so long as the current's riding with him, so should you. He gets the Chiefs this week, sixth-worst against opposing RBs.
Ownership: 63.6% ESPN, 53% Yahoo!, 62.5% NFL

Taiwan Jones or Marcel Reece, RB - Oakland Raiders - With the McFadden train set to "Wreck" mode, the Raiders will need to get someone in and ready against a Ravens defense that allows 150 total yards to opposing RBs. Reece shouldered a huge chunk of the workload once McFadden went out (and took Goodson with him), so it's safe to assume he'll be the "starter" in the timeshare, but maybe wait to hear more from the team as the week goes on.
Jones - Ownership: 2.6% ESPN, 2% Yahoo!, 0.2% NFL
Reece - Ownership: 0.2% ESPN, 6% Yahoo!, 0.3% NFL

TY Hilton, WR - Indianapolis Colts - Luck really does excel in spreading the ball around and while he did finish second on the team on Sunday to Donnie Avery, Avery also left the game with a mysterious hip injury. No thank you. I'll take Hilton. The Colts take on the Jags this Thursday, and with Reggie Wayne taking away defenders, Hilton should put up big-game numbers again (he put up 113 and a TD against them earlier this season).
Ownership: 0.7% ESPN, 10% Yahoo!, 0.7% NFL

Andre Roberts, WR - Arizona Cardinals - He's been on this list for weeks now. If there is one defining stat I can provide to show you this man's worth, it's this: In standard-scoring leagues, Andre Roberts has more fantasy points on the season than the following:
-Larry Fitzgerald
-Calvin Johnson
-Wes Welker
-Mike Wallace
-Torrey Smith
-DeSean Jackson
-Andre Johnson
-Steve Smith
-Dez Bryant
The list goes on and on considering Roberts is 15th in fantasy WRs. (And for those scoring at home, he's 20th in PPR leagues)
Ownership: 41.8% ESPN, 69% Yahoo!, 37.8% NFL

Brandon Myers, TE - Oakland Raiders - He's getting there consistency-wise and with the RB situation having been murdered by Darren McFadden, Palmer will need some consistent targets when he ultimately throws more in games. He finally found paydirt Sunday, and like it so much he ended up going there again. More importantly, though, he commands a stupid amount of targets every week. Two weeks in a row now he's been thrown to 13 times. He'll be finding the endzone more and more as the season moves along.
