Week 6 Rankings: Wide Receivers

Someone tell Hakeem Nicks he's a receiver, not a pitcher starting every 6 games. And someone tell Kenny Britt that the season started. And someone tell Greg Jennings he's playing for a new contract here. And someone tell me a better way to write these jokes. And someone tell the Jets they actually have guys lining up for a job. The T.Bo Show anyone? But really, who better to room with such a fragile psyche like T.O. than Tebow? Yeah, I know, Ray Lewis, but still. There'd be inspirational speeches every 15 minutes.

Anyway, not included: Saints, Jaguars, Panthers, Bears, Hakeem Nicks (though if he plays, he'd rank at about 24 on this list), Greg Jennings and Antonio Cromartie.

RankReceiverOppComments
Calvin Johnson@PHIAsomugha's less than stellar and gets burned by a different jumper every week. This week'll be no different.
AJ Green@CLEHe'll have Joe Haden on him but it's still AJ Green and he's an absolute monster.
Percy Harvin@WSHMerril Hoge called him the league's MVP so far. So yeah, there's that. Also 'Skins are the worst against WRs.
Larry FitzgeraldBUFBills give up the fourth-most to WRs and the Cards have even less of a run game than before believe it or not.
Demaryius Thomas@SDLook at Marques Colston's stats from last week and add a few more targets. I know, it's scary.
Victor Cruz@SFI know it's the 49ers but he's got a damn good QB throwing it to him and they won't be able to run.
Julio JonesOAKI've said it a million times, but Oakland stops nobody. NOBODY.
Dwayne Bowe@TBEven with Brady Quinn under center, Bowe will continue to get a million targets.
Roddy WhiteOAKSee: Jones, Julio. If you're in a PPR league, White's swapped here with Jones.
Reggie Wayne@NYJAfter last week's performance, you can't sit him this season. Luck loves him. And so should you.
Wes Welker@SEAPats won't be afraid of the big, bad DBs in Seattle. Welker and Lloyd have speed greater than Seattle's size.
Mike Wallace@TENTitans D hasn't allowed less than 60 yards to opposing #1 WRs. Wallace only needs one play to get it done.
Antonio Brown@TENSee above. Brown gets more targets than Wallace, they're just significantly shallower.
Miles Austin@BALGets a sizable amount of targets, especially near the redzone. Webb and Reed great, but not shutdown guys.
Andre JohnsonGBWe saw what Reggie Wayne did to them last week, but only worry is how well the RBs will play.
Vincent JacksonKCExpect one shot down the field every single possession. Hopefully Freeman takes advantage of a weak defense.
Eric Decker@SDWhile much of the focus falls to Thomas and McGahee, Decker makes the most of his single coverage.
Jordy Nelson@HOUHe clearly hasn't lived up to last year's numbers, but there's always the potential to have a huge game.
Brandon Lloyd@SEAHe may not get as many looks thanks to Welker but he's faster than Seattle's DBs. Could pay off.
Malcom FloydDENHad a great start to last week's game, but will likely have Champ on him. Rivers likes to look his way though.
DeSean JacksonDETLions secondary is terrible and while they don't give up tons of fantasy points to WRs, that could change.
Dez Bryant@BALDespite the disappointment surrounding the drops, he still put up a very good line. Romo is trusting him more.
Torrey SmithDALPer ESPN Stats&Info, he's been targeted 20.9 yards downfield per target, highest of any WR in the league.
Michael CrabtreeNYGHas emerged as Smith's first receiver option (though second option after Vernon Davis). He's becoming reliable.
Jeremy MaclinDETSee: Jackson, DeSean. Expect a little less.
Brian HartlineSTLHe'll see targets, not sure about catches. As much as I hate him, Cortland Finnegan's done a good job this year.
Andre RobertsBUFHe'll finish the year with top-25 WR numbers. This game will certainly be a reason why.
Pierre GarconMINRGIII loves throwing it to him and when a rookie QB latches on to one guy, that's it.
James Jones@HOUHas put up great numbers filling for Jennings, and will continue to do so with defensive attention elsewhere.
Stevie Johnson@ARII'm just too invested in this Cardinals defense to be high on him, but he's the clear first option on the team.
Anquan BoldinDALBig possession guys seem to be the only ones getting the best of these Cowboys DBs.
Denarius Moore@ATLThey're going to be using DMC more than anyone else but there's a chance he hits paydirt.
Andrew Hawkins@CLEWith Joe Haden covering AJ Green, Hawkins could be in for the game of his career.
Randall Cobb@HOUBack on the bandwagon, baby! Randall Cobb has all the ability and Rodgers's trust to be an excellent fantasy WR.
Jeremy KerleyINDThere's not many other options on this team and Indy's far from a shutdown defense.
Kendall WrightPITThe rookie is gaining Hasselbeck's trust and it could pay off as Hasselbeck's a better pocket passer.
Domenik Hixon@SFSo long as Nicks is out, we have to keep expecting Hixon to be the beneficiary, but Cruz hogged it all last week.
Nate WashingtonPITVeteran WR who has a good rap-sheet with Hasselbeck in the past.
Robert MeachemDENHe finally showed signs of life last week but it won't be easy automatic consistency.
Dexter McCluster@TBI have him listed here because he gets no carries. He should get tons of looks this week though out wide.
Darrius Heyward-Bey@ATLIf Asante Samuel bites once, it'll be a big play for DHB. And it might not only happen once...
Kenny BrittPITI don't trust him at all. He has been practicing but he's still too much of a liability.
Nate Burleson@PHIIf Leshoure and Megatron attract most of the defenders, Stafford could find Burleson early and often.
Davone BessSTLWith Hartline and Bush impressing, Bess usually gets single coverage inside. Single Rams coverage is a good thing.
Mario ManninghamNYGIs it really a revenge game if he wasn't a major factor for the Giants last year besides once?
Reuben Randle@SFMany predict that Randle will break out during Nicks's absence. We'll see.
Santana MossMINBoth RGIII and Shanahan realized the offense needed to use Moss more. 'Bout damn time.
Sidney RiceNEAs you should know by now, I have no belief in Russell Wilson's quarterbacking abilities.
Eddie RoyalDENMaybe there's a chance. Maybe his 2 catches per game pay off. Maybe.
Brandon Stokley@SDNot enough targets, but two TDS in the last three weeks and there are plays where Peyton looks to him specifically.
