Week 5 Rankings: Quarterbacks

Not included: Raiders, Cowboys, Lions, Buccaneers, Jake Locker, Tim Tebow, unbiased rationalism.

Also, can we stop with all of the Aaron Rodgers regression/hate? He started the season against top defenses in consecutive weeks (SF, CHI, SEA). He finally got to play a defense that wasn't in the top 5, and he showed why he was last season's MVP. His best receiver in Greg Jennings goes in and out of games like that crappy dollar at a vending machine. He's going to be fine, people. Now that that's out of the way, here you go:

2	Drew Brees	SD	Saints defense legitimately sucks, so as long as Brees has to keep throwing, you'll be golden.
3	Tom Brady	DEN	Denver giving up the seventh-most fantasy points to QBs and he showed last week that this offense is still elite.
4	Aaron Rodgers	@IND	Indy's defense has yet to face an offense as potent as this. Rodgers will light it up.
5	Robert Griffin III	ATL	Your number 1 fantasy QB thus far and he's only going to get better. Scary thought for opponents.
6	Eli Manning	CLE	Cleveland's finally going to get Joe Haden back, but it won't be enough to contain the Giants passing attack.
7	Joe Flacco	@KC	If they keep using Rice sparingly, Flacco will make the most of this terrible, terrible defense.
8	Philip Rivers	@NO	Saints defense sucks. There's no diplomatic way of saying it. With the Chargers backfield in question, he'll benefit
9	Peyton Manning	@NE	Peyton vs. Brady, back to the glory days! Hopefully Peyton can work his way through this Pats defense.
10	Cam Newton	SEA	I have no faith in him this week, but I respect his abilities too much to rank him any lower than tenth.
11	Matt Schaub	@NYJ	This Jets team is falling apart but if they can find a way to contain the run game, Schaub will have a great day.
12	Michael Vick	@PIT	Pittsburgh has given up the shallow offensive plays all season, which could benefit Vick's scrambling tactics.
13	Ben Roethlisberger	PHI	Hard to argue against anything he's done so far. It'd be hard to sit him at this point.
14	Alex Smith	BUF	I'm expecting a great game out of him against a Bills defense anchored by an ailing Mario Williams.
15	Jay Cutler	@JAC	I do believe Cutler will get it going and I think a no-turnover outing against a very good Cowboys D helped.
16	Kevin Kolb	@STL	If the Cards try to go with a semi-balanced offense against a stingy Rams team, Kolb will tear it up. I said it.
17	Ryan Fitzpatrick	@SF	I only rank him this high for the chance of him rattling off a few garbage-time throws that'll boost his stats.
18	Matt Hasselbeck	@MIN	He may be the consummate pro, but the rest will likely show and his o-line likely won't show up.
19	Andy Dalton	MIA	He'd be higher, but the amount of times he'll get hit leaves too much chance for turnovers.
20	Ryan Tannehill	@CIN	Came out against a great Cards defense and broke plenty records. Cincy sucks too much against the run though.
21	Christian Ponder	TEN	Titans give up the most fantasy points to QBs, but they do the same for RBs and this is still a running team.
22	Andrew Luck	GB	This defense is beatable but you likely have better options.
23	Russell Wilson	@CAR	Yeah, the Panthers' defense sucks, but what many don't realize is that so does Russell Wilson. Sorry.
24	Brandon Weeden	@NYG	Has shown plenty sign of competence but he's too much of a risk. Also, small problem: his receivers can't catch.
25	Matt Cassel	BAL	There have been calls to have him benched and now he has to face the Ravens? Poor, poor guy. RIP
26	Mark Sanchez	HOU	You almost feel bad for the whole team in general. Then you realize how much of a collective ass their team is.
27	Sam Bradford	ARI	Call me a homer, but if the Rams offense gets ANYTHING going, it'll be on the ground.
28	Blaine Gabbert	CHI	The girlfriend: "Why does Chicago's defense look like they try to win? Like, more than everyone else?" Scary.
